Our first night in Rome, my husband and I were conned into buying an expensive rose at the Piazza del Popolo. Thanks to this pushy seller — I insisted he let me take his picture — I found it was best to be rude to anyone shoving a rose in my face for the rest of the trip. Worked pretty well. Rome, Italy.
